How are we all feeling today?
It's February and along with the new month comes a new theme, "What is Mental Health?"
Mental health includes our emotional, physical, psychological and social well-being. It also affects how we feel, think and act.
I was having a period of reflection earlier and I noticed myself feeling like I really need a break from certain things. Sometimes we just need to really sit down, relax and self-care. Even if it means taking some time to pause..
During this point, I came across this checklist and going through each question was very grounding.
Getting the right amount of sleep is very important and having a healthy support network can be so comforting. I must admit the one I struggle with the most is putting my needs first and I can imagine a lot of people will be in the same position. So what can we do to look after ourselves today? Maybe saying some nice things about you? Or maybe having that treat in the form of watching TV or eating chocolates? I know I'll be doing them for sure. What about you?
